Addressing Standard Industry Practices for Rodeo Animals

COPAK recognizes that rodeos are part of American culture and are considered an all-American family event. Because of the deep roots in American culture, many fans and sponsors are unaware of the lived experience of the animals used in the event.

COPAK's goal is to bring awareness to those who sponsor, view, or participate in rodeos of the injuries, fear, and fatalities of animals used in rodeos for entertainment.

CENTRAL OREGON PARTNERS for ANIMAL KINDNESS (COPAK)

"Animal cruelty does not occur in a vacuum, and the failure to fully examine its origins would likely lead to future criminal acts and the continued cycle of abuse and violence.”

Hon. H. Lee Chitwood, Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, Pulaski, VA

“The assumption that animals are without rights and the illusion that our treatment of them has no moral significance is a positively outrageous example of Western crudity and barbarity. Universal compassion is the only guarantee of morality.”
― Arthur Schopenhauer, The Basis of Morality

"Only when we have become nonviolent towards all life will we have learned to live well with others."
― Cesar Chavez
